About Me
A rabbit that became a motion-design bunny.
My deep fascination with CGI environments began in December of 2009. I was captivated by the silver screen and James Cameron's Avatar. This newfound passion prompted me to refine my skills in art, design, and architecture. However, during my time at university, I quickly realized my desire was not to restrict myself to technicalities and regulations associated with structural, safety, and electrical floor plans. My search for solace ended with my discovery of the imagined and the freedom that came with 3D design, mapping impossible worlds, building detailed characters, and exploring the freedoms of untethered space. Additionally, the lengthy drying time of oil painting didn't align with my urgency for creative expression.
Consequently, I focused my studies on radio-television-film and arts-entertainment-technology, immersing myself in the world of motion graphics, short films, games, and interactive experiences. While my journey eventually led me to the games industry, I discovered that my true calling was video editing and the art of 3D movement, rather than troubleshooting development challenges. This was reiterated throughout my time as I often got to wear many hats.
Regardless of the project and utilized software, whenever there was a setback / problem in the way, I would often dive down "rabbitholes" to solve said problems as opposed to changing the design / giving up on an idea (I admit I'm not too fond of settling for the lesser vision). Soon enough, some colleagues began calling me rabbit which became a title of endearment for me.
While I love all [most] projects I always find myself back in After Effects and 3DS Max. As a result, I happily embraced the role of a motion design enthusiast, affectionately referring to myself as a "motion design bunny."
